Building your wedding gift registry is one of the rare times that your other half might be interested in or even excited about shopping! Plus, you get to use the handheld scanner thing. Gotta use those engagement perks while you can. ๐
Registering is probably the closest you can ever get to having this happen:
Here’s what’s on the top of our lists! Our 5 must-have registry picks!
1. A Fab Dinnerware Set
No more of that formal dinnerware that’s only for special occasions or plate packs for college students at Target! It’s time to invest in a set that you love and will literally use every day! There are so many great options from Kate Spade to Lenox, Corelle and even good old Target brand ceramic. If there is anything you should invest in, it should be the things you will use all the time! Such as make-up, purses or you know… plates. ๐
2. Apple TV
It’s the wave of the future! If your husband is not a gamer, you need this so that you can watch Hulu and Netflix on an actual TV! Set aside that computer screen for an even bigger and better screen – your TV! ๐ Conveniently, Apple just announced their new version of the Apple TV with more channel “apps”, games, and Siri! This is definitely one of those things that we wouldn’t buy ourselves but we are SO glad we have now.
3. A really good all-purpose knife
Unless you love cooking multi-course farm-to-table meals, you really only need 2 kitchen knives in your arsenal. An all-purpose knife and a paring knife. I use the Wusthof 8″ Santoku knife. It’s amazing! Investing in a great knife saves so much time chopping up vegetables and fruit and makes cooking fun, as it should be! Also, there’s something about only using one knife that helps it stay clean. I rinse it off right away so it is ready to use at all times.
4. Organizers!
Blending any and all of 2 people’s stuff means that keeping everything organized is a must. Organize everything from your shoes, closet, shower, kitchen storage and living room table! Staying organized is so much easier when everything has “a spot”. Another one of those things that can be easily overlooked and that you may not buy yourself but streamlines the little things and pretty much your day-to-day life in general.
5. A Couch!
When Daniel and I registered for stuff, we decided to go for what we truly wanted. We had the standard stuff like dinnerware, a blender, and luggage but we wanted to add some items that we knew we needed! We decided to add a couch to our registry for fun and crazily enough someone bought it! ๐ We love buying unique wedding gifts like furniture, decor, and board games for others because we know that those types of items will get a lot of love. Unlike standard wedding gifts like a nice glass vase, we use our couch for hours every single day. It goes well with our Apple TV.
Hopefully this helped you gain inspiration about your wedding registry! What are your registry must-haves?
