Skyler and Ashley’s wedding is one to remember! Skyler’s mom, Nancy, contacted us because she wanted help with all of the little details (and there were tons!) and we were happy to help! She created so many cute coral decor items with lots of burlap and lace textures so we had lots to do! This is another throwback wedding to 2016 and with the lakeside setting, all the decor tied in really well.
It was one of the most casual weddings we’ve ever done but since it was our first “residential” wedding, there were a few more details to work out than a typical venue wedding. Figuring out where people could park, getting everyone through the neighborhood gate (including vendors), setting up a tent in case of rain, and coordinating with an outhouse vendor were a few extra things we had to work out. Plus we had no venue or catering staff to work with but I would say everything really well!
Everything was outdoors at the groom’s family’s lake house and the weather was great but it was a hot day and a little breezy. The guys did not stay in their suits very long at all but they were dressed up for the ceremony and formal photos which was much appreciated. Skyler and Ashley had lots of the standard wedding elements – they had a first look, sand ceremony, first dance, father/daughter and mother/son dances, cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss, and a sparkler exit. We’re really happy for this sweet family and thankful they let us be a part of their day!
