Planning a bachelorette party can be a huge undertaking so if you have a bit of anxiety about it, it’s ok! Especially if you haven’t done it before! If that’s the case – you’re in luck! We have a plan to make your bestie’s bachelorette bash the party of the year! Besides her wedding of course 😉
The Who
Usually the maid of honor plans the bachelorette party with the bridesmaids’ help brainstorming, planning, and financing the day or weekend. You can keep the event small and intimate and invite only the bridal party or have a big extravaganza with all of your girl’s female friends!
The What
The first thing you will need to do is pick a date. Gather the other bridesmaids and come up with ideas on what you should do! Some things to think about:
Do you want to go out of town?
Do you want it to span multiple days/an entire weekend? What is everyone’s schedule like?
What type of party should it be? Crazy? Relaxing? Nostalgic?
What can everyone reasonably afford? Think about travel, food, and activity costs and also a little sumthin extra to get a present for the bride!
What will everyone need to bring? Split the responsibilities so each girl plays a small part in the planning!
(Optional) Get a few ideas from the bride herself!
The Schedule
Opening Fun:
Start off with a celebratory clink of champagne, some cheers, and festive bachelorette party attire!
Fun Excursion #1:
Some ideas include wine tasting, pole dancing classes, bar hopping, getting massages or mani pedis, going shopping, wine & painting, pottery making, going paintballing, attending a concert or show, or going out on the town!
Dinner and Dessert! Delicious food followed by cake, ice cream, or donuts are a must!
Party/festivities/bonding time/gifts
You’ll want time to reminisce, hang out, chill, and just soak in the moment!
Sleep and do it all again the next day!
The Extras:
Create a Facebook group!
The Facebook group will help you coordinate with the other bridesmaids/planners and stay organized 🙂
Have a dress code!
Having everyone wear matching attire makes the whole night feel more special and glam!
Decor!
Deck out your party space with balloons, ribbon, streamers, tassels, garlands and keep it in a somewhat consistent color scheme!
Games!
You can find tons of bachelorette party games online! Our personal recommendation is pin the mustache on the groom!
Remember, the best bachelorette party is one that is fun and heartfelt. Some may think of it as the last time you will hang out with your bestie for a long time but we don’t! The bachelorette party is a celebration of your friendship! It’s an incredibly special girls night out event before your girl ties the knot. One that is hilarious and special and all-around awesome. Happy planning!
