Hello, lovely readers– Angela here! I want to use this blog post as a way to show you the second Basic Bash wedding (my own!) and also as a way for you to get to know me, my crazy friends and family, and my loving husband Chris!
I had been with my husband, who I call my lovie and best friend, for 5 and a half years when we got married on a sunny September day in 2014. During these years, many life events (both good and bad) had happened to us and our families/friends. That being said, our wedding was a huge celebration of our love and overcoming struggles with the joy of starting a new chapter in our lives.
The main thing I wanted to convey at my wedding was Chris and my youthful, fun-loving relationship, while making the event itself elegant and classy for our family and friends. To achieve my vision, I incorporated the talents of A-list Nebraska wedding vendors along with spending a ton of time creating personal DIY touches.
Without further ado, here are some photos of our big day, taken by the amazing Christine McGuigan Photography (http://www.christinemcguigan.com/)!
Ain’t Angela got time for heels on her wedding day! I stuck with sandals and loved every minute of being comfortable. 🙂
The guest book table at the ceremony included Kleenex for happy tears and bubbles for the guests to send us off with afterwards.
Teal and coral-y peach tones set the scene for our late summer wedding day.
Good-looking bunch of people, huh? 😉
I couldn’t choose just one photo to depict the shenanigans that went on before the reception at Heartland of America Park. Also, the bottom left corner photo conveys us BBE ladies perfectly. 😉
We had a traditional guest book along with a Pinterest-y guest book in which our family and friends signed hearts and dropped them into a frame we now have on display in our living room. Also, we were lucky enough to have my amazing cousin and aunt bake and decorate our wedding cake! There is no possible way I could have been happier with how it turned out (who doesn’t love a Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs cake topper?!). 🙂
The Paxton had a luxurious rooftop where Christine took beautiful photos of us at sunset. After that, we all clearly danced the night away and, of course lived happily ever after.
