Here’s another 2016 throwback!
Sarah and Kurt were so much fun to work with. 90% of the time we meet with each couple before they sign a contract and book but this was one of the times where we did not. The vibes were strong through email alone so we had mutual trust from the beginning that everything was going to be great. We were right! Sarah and Kurt were incredibly nice, thoughtful, and laid-back and we were honored to be part of their wedding day!
I would say they definitely had a theme song for their wedding day and it was “You Make My Dreams” by Hall and Oates. It was the recessional song for the end of the ceremony as well as their bridal party entrance song and I think it also played during cocktail hour and the reception. 🙂 The Durham was a beautiful and historic setting for their July wedding and we also got to see some familiar faces – Cara and Andrew – we coordinated their wedding a few weeks back and just blogged about their day too!
I am a big fan of candid photos so there are some iPhone photos at the end. The last photo was taken as we were just finishing up at the end of the night, walking out of the Durham and I quickly snapped a pic of Sarah and Kurt leaving the venue. You can see them really small in the corner with the Durham on the other side which I love and I think it perfectly bookmarks the story of the day.
